Le Syndrome des amours passées (The (Ex)perience of Love) by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni to open the National Competition of the BRIF

Le Syndrome des amours passées (The (Ex)perience of Love) will be soon presented at the Semaine de la Critique of the Cannes Film Festival. Written and directed by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni, the film will be premiered in Belgium a few days later during the Brussels International Film Festival – BRIFF.

After Madly in Life (critical and public success which won seven awards at the 2022 Magritte Film Awards), Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balboni present their eagerly awaited second feature film.

With a romantic comedy feel, they share the intimacy of a couple who is experiencing difficulties to have a child.

About the cast and the lead roles, the two directors worked with the actress Lucie Debay (who played in Madly in Life) and the actor Lazare Gousseau.

The(Ex)perience of Love will open the National Competition of the 6th BRIFF in the beautiful Grand Eldorado of the UGC de Brouckère on Wednesday, June 28, with the presence of the film crew during a night that will be exceptional.


Synopsis : Rémy and Sandra cannot procreate as they are suffering from “The Past Love Syndrome”. There’s only one cure: have sex one more time with all of their exes.
