Amanda Kernell
Alice hasnât seen her two children in months. After a recent and difficult divorce, her ex-husband keeps them from seeing her, awaiting the final custody verdict in Northern Sweden. When her son calls her in the middle of the night weeping helplessly, Alice takes action. She travels on the night train to the North and in a last desperate attempt to win them over, she abducts the children and ventures on an illicit charter trip to the Canary Islands.

Amanda Kernell est nĂ©e en 1986 Ă UmeĂ„, dans le nord de la SuĂšde, d’un pĂšre sami et d’une mĂšre suĂ©doise. Elle a suivi une formation en rĂ©alisation cinĂ©matographique Ă l’Ăcole nationale de cinĂ©ma du Danemark. Depuis 2006, elle a sorti plusieurs courts mĂ©trages primĂ©s en tant que scĂ©nariste/rĂ©alisatrice, comme Northern Great Mountain, dont la premiĂšre mondiale a eu lieu Ă Sundance 2015 et qui a Ă©tĂ© nominĂ© pour le prix « Guldbaggen » de l’AcadĂ©mie suĂ©doise. Son long mĂ©trage Sami Blood (2016) a Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ© en avant-premiĂšre Ă la Mostra de Venise en 2016 et a remportĂ© le label du Meilleur film europĂ©en dĂ©cernĂ© par Europa Cinemas. Charter est son deuxiĂšme long mĂ©trage.
