Jeux de bal
Party Days
Laurent Scheid
For the past 20 years, every July 20, on the eve of Belgium’s national holiday, thousands of people have gathered on the Place du Jeu de Balle in Brussels. This is the âBal Nationalâ, a unique celebration halfway between festival, carnival and family reunion. The event brings together people from all walks of life, who together define the contours of a certain âbelgitudeâ. Jeux de Bal takes you right to the heart of this joyous collective experience.
â The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with director Laurent Scheid

In 2016 he directed the B-team for La ForĂȘt, a TV series broadcast on France 3. At the end of 2018 he released Simon, a short documentary, and then directed a portrait of artists for the ThĂ©Ăątre de Namur.
