Antoine and Olga are a French couple who settled long ago in a village from the interior of Galicia. There they lead a quiet life, grow their vegetables and rehabilitate abandoned houses, although their coexistence with the locals is not as idyllic as they wish. Their refusal to implement a wind farm will accentuate the disagreements with the neighbors, especially with the brothers Xan and Lorenzo, taking coexistence to a situation of no return.

Trained in screenplay at the School of Cinema and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM) after a master’s degree in history, he is barely over twenty-five when he co-directed his first feature film in 2008, the romantic comedy 8 CITAS. He works then on Spanish television series such as IMPARES (2008), LA PECERA DE EVA (2010), VIDA LOCA (2011) or even FRAGILES (2013), before returning to the cinema with a new feature film in 2013, STOCKHOLM, for which he obtains the Prize for Best Director at the Malaga Film Festival. In 2011, he co-founded with three partners the production company Caballo Films, which notably enables him to produce STOCKHOLM and the fictions that will follow it. In 2016, QUE DIOS NOS PERDONE, a psychological thriller by the duo Antonio de la Torre – Roberto Álamo, which earned him the prize for best screenplay at the Saint-Laurent International Film Festival Sebastian. His next film, EL REINO (2018), explores the shallows of Spanish political corruption and emancipates itself from the codes of  detective cinema, once again playing with the limits of fact and fiction. The film wins seven Goyas in 2019 including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor for Antonio de la Torre. We find him again in 2020 with MADRE, a disturbing portrait of a mother upon a violent thriller background. In parallel, Sorogoyen returns to his first love with the series ANTIDISTURBIOS in six episodes. In 2022, Rodrigo Sorogoyen returns with Marina Foïs and Denis Ménochet in the film AS BESTAS. The film is presented for the first time at the Cannes Film Festival, in Cannes Premiere official selection.
