Talia, a Belgian girl with Senegalese roots, visits her country of origin for the first time. She starts off in Dakar, in the luxurious villa of her cousin’s family, hoping to meet her grandmother. But her grandmother is absent and the villa quickly becomes a “golden prison”. Until she meets Malika, a mysterious bird street seller.

Director and director of photography, Christophe Rolin began his career as a filmmaker with Marc Recchia, editor and director, with whom he made his first films outside the traditional production circuits. Christophe likes to film in natural light, prefers natural settings and the discovery of new talents. His favorite themes are the quest for identity and exile, which are also the subject of his first feature film “Le Voyage de Talia”.
