This is the story of a woman named Chiara.

She’s an actress, the daughter of Marcello Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve, and for one summer, when her own life is in turmoil, she decides she’d rather live her father’s life.

She dresses like him, talks like him, breathes like him, and she does it so forcefully that the others around her start to believe it, calling her “Marcello”.

⭐ The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with director Christophe Honoré

As a film-loving teenager, Christophe HonorĂ© studied modern literature and cinema in Brittany. He moved to Paris in 1995, the year of publication of Tout contre Leo, his first book for children, a genre in which he made a name for himself, tackling previously taboo themes (AIDS, same-sex parenthood). Also the author of critically acclaimed “adult” novels (L’Infamille, La Douceur) and a playwright, in 2000 he directed his first short film, Nous deux, and collaborated on the screenplay for Les filles ne savent pas nager.
