In the CHUV training center in Lausanne, «fake» patients and «real» carers simulate medical consultations, to learn how to perform kindness. But in an increasingly liberal hospital system, which itself exerts violence on medical staff, is this relational ideal really possible?

Alexe Poukine

Alexe Poukine is a filmmaker and screenwriter. After studying drama and photography, she pursued anthropology, documentary filmmaking, and screenwriting. Her graduation film, “Petites Morts” was selected in several international festivals. Following two feature-length documentaries, “Dormir, dormir dans les pierres” (2013) and “Sans frapper” (2019), she directed her first fiction film, “Palma” in 2020. She is currently focused on filming her first feature-length fiction, scheduled for this year.
