You are adopted as an orphan in a Western country and only discover years later that your official papers are incorrect. You were not an orphan at all and your biological parents are still alive today… Rani, kidnapped as a child, testifies about the trafficking of children by the Catholic Church in India. Dutch Marcia, a victim of adoption fraud, exposes corruption in Colombia with her organization, causing a shock wave in Belgium. Journalist Kurt exposes a network of Congolese child trafficking at the risk of his own life.

Daniel Lambo started his career as an author for theater, television and film. With djU! (2002) he started directing. His first short film won the jury prize and the audience prize at Leuven Kort (Belgium). Around the same time, Lambo became a member of Claxon United, a creative collective consisting of directors such as Michael R. Roskam and Raf Reintjens. As a director, Lambo focused on social themes. His documentary Breathless won the Ensor Prize in 2019 in the best documentary film category.
