Shemroon, ten noorden van Teheran. Iman en zijn kleine broer Payar wonen bij hun vader. Na de dood van hun moeder zoekt Iman een uitweg. Met behulp van zijn connecties bij de rijke jeugd van de stad zet hij een zaak op om snel geld te verdienen.

Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi
Born in Tehran in 1979, Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi lives and works between France and Iran. He is graduated from Le Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Arts where he developed an aesthetic combining cinema and contemporary art. He made two narrative shorts, Lower Heaven (2017) and CavaliÚre (2020), which were screened in numerous festivals (including TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, FIFIB, Premiers Plans Angers, Winterthur, Mecal). Selected in development at La Fabrique Cinémas in Cannes and at Ateliers Premiers Plans in Angers, Chevalier Noir is his first feature-film.
