Op een warme zomeravond in Parijs ontmoet Félix een jonge vrouw, Alma, en wordt verliefd. De volgende ochtend gaat Alma met de trein naar haar familie in Zuid-Frankrijk. Félix, vastbesloten om zijn zielsverwant te volgen, begint aan een carpoolrit met zijn beste vriend Chérif en hun aarzelende chauffeur Edouard. Als de auto kapot gaat bij aankomst, gaat niets zoals gepland.

Guillaume Brac was born in Paris in 1977. After studying production at La Fémis, he directed and produced his first short film LE NAUFRAGE in 2009, followed by a medium-length film UN MONDE SANS FEMMES in 2011, which won awards at numerous festivals. These two films, combined in a single programme, were released and acclaimed in theatres in France, Belgium and Japan. In 2013, Guillaume Brac directed his first feature film, TONNERRE, presented in official competition at the Locarno Festival and released in theatres in 2014. He then directed a medium-length documentary film, LE REPOS DES BRAVES, presented in 2016 at the FID Marseille. In 2017, he directed a fiction diptych resulting from a workshop with young actors, CONTES DE JUILLET, presented out of competition at the Locarno festival, and released in theatres in 2018. In 2018, he directed his first feature-length documentary, TREASURE ISLAND, presented at the Karlovy Vary festival. The film was released in theatres and was included in the Cahiers du Cinéma’s list of the ten best films of the year. In 2020, Guillaume Brac returns to fiction with A L’ABORDAGE, which premieres at the Berlinale.
