 Sauvages

by Claude Barras

In Borneo, on the edge of the great rainforest, Kéria takes in a baby orangutan found in the palm oil plantation where her father works. At the same time, her young cousin Selaï comes to seek refuge with them, fleeing the conflict between his nomadic family and the logging companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï, and the baby ape will fight against the destruction of the ancestral forest, which is more threatened than ever. But for Kéria, this struggle will also be a journey to uncover the truth about her own origins.
