Blueberry Dreams is a warm, humorous film about a Georgian familyâs plan to start a blueberry plantation in Mingrelia, a region on the border with Russia where conflict is rife. A young film about an old world, where the familyâs two young sons dream of a better future.

Elena Mikaberidze
Elena was born in Georgia in 1988 and spent most of her life in Brussels, Belgium. She studied politics and gained an MA degree in Eastern Europe & Caucasus Studies with the thesis « The Representation of War and the Narratives of Identity in Modern Georgian Cinema ». She completed film critic courses and worked in a variety of areas in cinematography. In 2016 she moved back to Georgia and started to direct her own films. Elena is currently a programmer at the Tbilisi International Film Festival. Elena is an alumnus of Filmmakers for Peace by GoEAST IFF, From Script 2 Film, EurasiaDOC, Talent Nest at Vilnius Meeting Point, GAIFF Pro and EAVE. Her last projects were all supported by multiple film centers, like the Georgian National Film Center, the French CNC, and the Belgium Film Fund.
