Dans une ville rurale du sud de l’Espagne, Antonia, une mère adolescente, disparaît au milieu de la nuit, laissant son bébé derrière elle. Cinquante ans plus tard et à plusieurs kilomètres au nord, Carmen, une directrice de casting introvertie, cherche des personnes pour partager leurs expériences lorsqu’elles arrivent dans une nouvelle ville. Dans sa quête, Carmen va rencontrer Antonia, une femme impulsive qui va s’immiscer dans sa solitude. Qui a dit que le temps guérissait toutes les blessures ?

Laura Ferrés (El Prat de Llobregat, 1989) is a writer and director. Her first short film, LOS DESHEREDADOS, is a portrait of her father facing the end of the family bus company. It was premiered at Cannes Film Festival Critics’ Week, where it won the award for best short film. Since then, it was screened at 80 film festivals, nominated at the European Film Awards, and awarded as best short film at the Goya Awards by the Spanish Film Academy, among other distinctions. The short film was released in Spanish theaters, not before a feature or as part of a shorts program, but solo, an unprecedented event in Spain as far as short films are concerned. LA IMATGE PERMANENT is her first feature film.
