LA VIE D’UNE FEMME
Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet
Gabrielle is wholly devoted to her work. A surgeon and head of department at a public hospital, she is constantly on the go, stretched thin by the weight of her responsibilities. There is little room left for her personal life—a husband who loves her and an ageing mother in need of her care. When a novelist spends several weeks observing her department while researching a new book, Gabrielle’s carefully ordered world begins to unravel. Is there still room for the unexpected in the life she has built for herself? Cannes Film Festival – Official Selection, Competition 2026
