Reimagining the City

By 2050, more than half of the world’s population will live in cities. These metropoles, responsible for 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions, are at the heart of the climate challenge. In Europe, innovative solutions begin to emerge. Several cities are taking the lead by working directly with the most vulnerable citizens: women, people with disabilities, children and the elderly. Together, they are able to express their needs and work hand in hand with the authorities to find sustainable and inclusive solutions, improving not only air quality but also the quality of life in the city.
