Focus Belgium
Every year, the BRIFF honours the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. We wanted to celebrate Belgium as we like it. Happy, colourful, multicultural, at the centre of Europe, an economic and geopolitical crossroads… Belgian cinema reflects this image. In this OFF section, we wanted to highlight works co-produced by Belgium. A showcase for artistic collaborations with countries near and far: France, Georgia, Morocco, etc. On 30/06, the presidency will come to a fitting end with a documentary on the famous Bal National, the kind only Belgium can organise. Dancing, singing and winking with Grand Jojo, the King, the Queen and the police…
