Directing workshop
This year, the filmmaking workshop is once again putting animation in the spotlight! Supervised by the director Lucie Mousset, you will be able to learn how to make a film in modelling clay in one weekend. From the writing to the conception of the characters and the sets, through the shooting and the sound effects, come and discover the behind-the-scenes of the making of an animated film.
In partnership with Festival La Rochelle Cinéma (FEMA), the short film created during the workshop will be screened during the 2023 edition of the BRIFF and FEMA.
During 2 days, you will have the opportunity to discover all the secrets of the directing of an animated short film:
- Participate in the writing of the script
- Create the characters and the sets in clay for the shooting
- Take part in all the technical aspects of the shooting (image, light and sound)
- Learn more about editing a short animated film
The film made by the participants during the workshop will be screened before the family screening on Wednesday, July 5 (more information on the place and time of the screening will be available soon).
