Gentle (Szelíd)

László Csuja has graduated from the University of Theatre and Film Arts (Budapest) in 2012. He is currently enrolled in the University’s postgraduate program. He spent one semester at FAMU Prague in 2010, and participated in a number of international film workshops, such as Berlinale Talent Campus, Sarajevo Talent Campus or the Low Budget Film Forum. Since 2005 he has directed several short features and documentaries. His most successful short film was PHOSPHORUS that has been selected to compete at international film festivals in Tampere, Edinburgh and Cork. Initiation would be his first feature film.

Born in 1989, Anna Nemes graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts as a painter in 2014. She post-graduated as an art therapist from the University of Pécs in 2016. Presently, she is a doctoral researcher at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. Her paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Europe since 2010. BEAUTY OF THE BEAST, Nemes’ essay- documentary about female bodybuilding is in postproduction (release: 2022). Her first fiction film GENTLE is going to premiere at Sundance Film Festival, 2022.
