Philippe is a Belgian director, screenwriter and cinematographer. He made his feature film debut in 2009 with The Day God Walked Away, which won several awards including Best New Director at San SebastiĂĄn International
Film Festival. His latest feature film Insyriated (In Syria) premiered at the 67th edition of the Berlinale where it won the Panorama Audience Award and the Europa Cinema Label. The film toured the world in all major film festivals and was awarded numerous prizes, including six Magritte, among which Best Film and Best Director at the Belgian Cinema Magrittes. It is widely distributed around the world.
