VAST

This year, thanks to the association Tout en Parlant, Thomas Vinterberg’s multi-award film Drunk will be accessible to the visually impaired and those who have difficulty reading subtitles.

What is VAST?

VAST (Sub-titled Audio Version) was imagined by the association Tout en Parlant to make international films accessible to people with visual impairments, dyslexia or who cannot read French. It enables you to hear the subtitles of films screened in their original version. With an app that you can download on your phone, you can hear an actor or an actress read the subtitles aloud.

On the programme:
Drunk by Thomas Vinterberg (2020 – Danemark). The great comedy-drama starring Mads Mikkelsen and winner of the Oscar for Best International Film (2021) will be available in our venues with VAST.
The BRIFF is very happy to be more inclusive and to offer you a cinema experience accessible to all!
