Leila Albayaty is of French and Iraqi origins and works in various countries. She is self-taught and engages in writing, directing, acting, drawing, and composing music for her films. She directed the short film “VU” (2009), which received a special mention at the Berlinale 2009. “BERLIN TELEGRAM” was selected in thirty international festivals and received the TV5 award for Best Francophone Film at Geneva. “FACE B”, a 40′ docu-drama, had its World Premiere at the Berlinale 2015.
