Special Screenings

There will be a number of special screenings during this 7th edition of the BRIFF.

Jacques Audiard presents a preview of Emilia PĂ©rez, his new film, which received rave reviews at the last Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Jury Prize and the Best Actress Award for its four actresses. For his tenth feature, the French director sets sail for Mexico, the setting for a sparkling Spanish-language musical thriller.

Six years after “Plaire, aimer et courir vite”, Christophe HonorĂ© returns to BRIFF to present a special screening of “Marcello Mio”, an irresistible fantasy, a hymn to the seventh art that reunites Chiara Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve around an ever-present family figure, Marcello Mastroianni.

Finally, two ‘more than special’ screenings: for the second time, the BRIFF is committed to inclusivity by showing several films in VAST (Version Audio Sous-TitrĂ©e), including Puan (El Profesor) from Maria AlchĂ© en Benjamin Naishtat, which will be accessible to visually impaired, blind or anyone who has difficulty reading subtitles. This film will open the inclusivity section of the 7th BRIFF, where will also be Chicken for Linda ! (Linda veut du poulet), a film for the whole family with audio description.
