Marilyne Canto
Marilyne Canto graduated from the School of the National Theater of Strasbourg (TNS) in 1990 and began her career on stage, under the direction of Jacques Lasalle and Jean Jourdâheuil. Her adventure continued in front of the cameras of Claude Chabrol, Dominique Cabrera, Manuel Poirier, Pierre Salvadori, RenĂ© FĂ©ret, MaĂŻwenn and Robert GuĂ©diguian. The actress also played in several TV movies with William Karel or Alain Tasma. Alongside her acting career, she further expressed her love of cinema as an assistant to Philippe Garrel and subsequently signed several short films as a director: Nouilles, which won the Grand Prix at the Brest festival in 2007, Fais de beaux rĂȘves, which received the CĂ©sar for best short film in 2007 as well as the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand and Belfort festivals in 2006. From short films to features, there is only one step, which she took with Le Sens de lâhumour, selected in Locarno and supported by the Gan Foundation. She also directed Faire la paix, a documentary for Arte. Besides, we have had the opportunity to see her in many first films such as: AprĂšs la guerre by Annarita Zambranno or Le Ciel Ă©toilĂ© au-dessus de ma tĂȘte by Ilan Klipper. She also participated in the Alex Hugo series, alongside Samuel Le Bihan. This year, we will find her in Ibrahim by Samir Guesmi as well as in Presque, Bernard Campanâs next film.
TĂłmas Lemarquis
It was in Iceland, his homeland, that TĂłmas Lemarquis began his film career playing the Noiâs character in the film NĂłi albĂnĂłi. Crowned with numerous awards around the world, the film earned TĂłmas Lemarquis a nomination for Best Actor at the European Film Awards in 2003. A nomination that brought him notoriety the following years. From then on embodying one of the rising stars of European cinema, the actor landed several films and TV films âmade in Europeâ before landing roles in major international blockbusters, such as Snowpiercer, 3 Days To Kill, X-Men Apocalypse and Blade Runner 2049. TĂłmas also played one of the main characters in the film Touch Me Not by Adina Pintilie, winner of the 2018 Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. In 2021, he can be found in the Gone For Good series.
Helena Noguerra
Watch out, talent without borders! Model, presenter, actress, director but also author of novels and plays (including a very very Nul creation scripted by a certain Dominique Farrugia). Helena Noguerra knows how to do everything! Her discography includes today seven solo albums and numerous collaborations. On the cinema side, she has played in more than twenty films, unashamedly interpreting the roles of a sassy libertarian (LâArnacoeur by Pascal Chaumeil), a housewife (La Vie domestique by Isabelle Czajka), or even of Interpol agent (La Marque des anges by Sylvain White). In 2008, she directed the short film Peep-Show Heros for the X Femmes collection of CANAL + and then the documentary Le Strip burlesque ou la philosophie du corset. We also owe her three novels: LâEnnemi est Ă lâintĂ©rieur, Et je me suis mise Ă table (both at DenoĂ«lâs) and Ciao Amore (Flammarion). We will find her in the theaters in 2022 with La Reine de la piste, a musical piece written around her albums and directed by Pierre Notte.
Olivier Masset-Depasse
Ever since his first short films Chambre froide (2000) and Dans lâombre (2004), Olivier Masset-Depasseâs work portrays determined female characters ready to do anything to achieve their goals. These two short films have won around sixty awards at festivals around the world. His second feature film IllĂ©gal, a social drama against a backdrop of illegal immigration, received the SACD prize at the 42nd Directorsâ Fortnight in Cannes and was nominated for the CĂ©sar 2011. In 2014 he made the TV movieSanctuaire for CANAL +, a historical film which collects two FIPA dâor at the Biarritz festival. In 2019, Duelles, a psychological thriller, was shown in a âSpecial Presentationâ at the TIFF and received great acclaim in the United States. Today, Olivier Masset-Depasse is preparing the American remake of Duelles with Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway in the title roles. He will then follow with the third part of Largo Winch.
Samuel Theis
Born in 1978, Samuel Theis first studied drama at the National School of Theater Arts and Techniques in Lyon. He then joined the scenario workshop of La FĂ©mis before directing his first feature film, Party Girl, inspired by his motherâs life. On the border between documentary and fiction, members of his family play their own roles. Co-directed with Marie Amachoukeli and Claire Burger, the film opened the âUn Certain Regardâ selection at Cannes in 2014 and won the Camera dâOr. Samuel Theis is both an actor and a director. His second feature film, Petite Nature, was produced by Caroline Bonmarchand (Toscan du Plantier Prize for best producer in 2021), and presented in a special screening at the Criticsâ Week at the last Cannes Film Festival.

Galatea Kraghede Bellugi
Born in Paris from an Italian father and a Danish mother, Galatea Bellugi took her first steps at the ThĂ©Ăątre du Soleil in Le Dernier CaravansĂ©rail directed by Ariane Mnouchkine. In 2016, she played MĂ©lanie, a 15-year-old girl pregnant with her first love in Guillaume Senezâs Keeper. Her performance for this role rewarded her with the Interpretation Award at the Marrakech International Film Festival. In 2017, she played the role of Anna in LâApparition, directed by Xavier Giannoli. A real confirmation of her talent as an actress, which earned her a nomination for the CĂ©sar for Most Promising Actress. The same year, the young woman also shot for the first time in Italy, in Gabriele Salvatoresâ film Il Raggazo Invisibile 2. The extension of her talent continued through to singing, alongside Mathieu Amalric in the musical Tralala by the Larrieu brothers. This year, the actress played opposite to Matthieu Lucci and our compatriot Emilie Dequenne on the set of La Mort dâAlbino Rodrigue, Christine Doryâs new drama.

The public saw in him a real Belgian value, sought after in cinema, television as well as in the theater and even in singing. In 2012, he received the Best Actor Award at the Ostend Film Festival for his stunning performance in Time of My Life by Nic Balthazar. The same year, he was also part of the cast of the Oscar-nominated film The Broken Circle Breakdown by Felix van Groeningen.
